As I write this, the sun is shining, but you can hear thunder and see a light rain that has replaced a somewhat heavier, steady rainthat inundated the area earlier this evening.
But this is what the skies looked like about 5:20 p.m. on my way home from work.
A lot of blue, but as I drove further north, the clouds became more intense.
By the time I got home, the clouds looked heavy and the sprinkles were starting.
It poured as daughter and I treated ourselves to a midweek meal — it was the only night we’d see each other this week because of her work schedule. The phone (and its camera, hence no pictures) was hidden in my purse as we visited a local retailer. It was bad enough we forgot an umbrella and got soaked running from the car to the store. I wasn’t going to take the chance of my phone/camera getting soaked, too.
By the time we got home, the heavy rain had let up, leaving behind a beautiful double rainbow in its wake.
