2015_Day 89: What a difference a day makes

In 24 hours, my beans went from only one or two peeking through (right) to, well, pretty much all of them.

It never ceases to amaze me. I just can’t believe that overnight, a row of beans can literally pop up out of the ground a good half-inch to an inch or more.

The peas are looking good, too, and one cucumber seed has even sprouted. It’s been nine days since I planted all the seeds, so all those that haven’t sprouted are still within the germination period. Ahem, that’s you red pepper and the rest of you lazy cucumbers. I expect to see you in the next few days. The weather will cooperate (80s during day and 60s at night), so you might want to peek up through the dirt and enjoy the warmth.

The two rows of peas.

Cute little cucumber.
As the plant marker indicates, I did plant more than one seed in this hill.
