2015_Day 93: Windy Texas days

It’s been windy here in central Texas lately and that seems to be the norm for spring. I staked the big tomatoes a week or so ago and I think I’ll have to do the same to the cherry tomatoes soon, too. The wind really takes its toll on them.

Same probably goes for the beans, which are growing like crazy. If I don’t do something with them, it won’t be long before they are bent over permanently. Oh well, sounds like a good task for next week.

A few more garden photos:

Flowers are coming up quite nicely in the middle and lower tiers of the flower bed. Top tier finally has some flowers, too.

Being transplanted from Lubbock in the Texas panhandle to southwest Oklahoma I to live the hard, dry west/southwest winds. Wednesday we had over 12 hours of northwest wind steady at 40-45mph gusting to 60 mph. My onions and radishes may not recover.
