2015_Day 97: Bluebonnets as far as the eye can see

I’ve been looking for a field of bluebonnets close to our house. Turns out daughter beat me to it.

Granted, she saw it while riding the bus to school, but she did remember to tell me about it and then took me there tonight. It’s about 3 miles from our house, just off a farm-to-market highway, across the street (sort of) from a church, and sprawled between several metal sheds and an area for feeding animals. In a few of the photos, if you look closely enough, you might be able to see a few of the beasts in the background.

I could have stayed there all day and looked at the bluebonnets, and daughter and I were tempted to jump the barbed wire fence to get closer. But we settled for snapping photos from the roadside.

What a glorious sight!
