I’m not much of a baseball fan, but occasionally I like to go to a minor league or collegiate summer league game. Tonight, husband took me to my first Round Rock Express game. The Express is a triple A team, affiliated with the Texas Rangers.
Ironically, the Express played the Nashville Sounds, who husband also took me to see before we were married and I was living in Nashville. I don’t recall who won that night, some 17 years ago, but tonight was a memorable game for sure. The Express was behind most of the game, and down 4-3 with two outs in the ninth. I thought for sure they were going to lose, but lo and behold, they got a walk-off double and win 5-4.
The photo above is a panoramic from our seats in outfield – a great view. The photos below are at the start (6 p.m.), at dusk about halfway through, and near the end of the game.
It was about 80 at the start of the game and a cool 73 at the game’s end. All in all, it was a beautiful night for a ballgame.
