After a decent day on Sunday (read: no rain), Memorial Day saw a return to the rain of late. This time, Georgetown was hit a little harder.
We were fortunate to only get rain (3 inches), lightning and thunder out of a tornado warning; other areas close to us did see tornadoes, and downtown Austin is seeing flooding as I write this.
The photo above shows the pouring rain and lightning earlier from our back door this afternoon. Note all the standing water around the backyard. The raised beds also were full of water, though they have since drained. It looks like any additional significant rainfall will hold off until tomorrow, so hopefully the soggy yard can dry out a bit.
