While I’m not sure how the onions are taking all the wet weather, the cucumbers appear to be liking it. I wrote earlier that I was worried they were starting to acquire a bit of cucumber jaundice, but they seem to be okay so far.

They continue to vine out and I’m sure a week of sun would do them wonders. I would love a fresh cucumber when we come back from our Wisconsin visit!

I haven’t dug down to check on the onions, but I’m guessing they’re not to keen on all the rain. I hope they’re not rotting below the surface. Again, a week’s worth of sunshine would do them some good, too.

The rain has definitely been good for the zinnias — my three-tiered flower bed is an explosion of pink!
