Leaving for weeklong vacation in Wisconsin tomorrow. Can’t wait to see family and friends. But I’m a little anxious about leaving the garden untended. It finally has stopped raining here in central Texas, and with sunny skies and 90s forecast for the next week, I sure hope the automatic sprinkler system works.

Yes, father-in-law will be around to keep an eye on the house and water the flowers out of the sprinklers’ reach, but I still worry. The flowers and vegetables are my babies, so why wouldn’t I, right?

The hot weather should be especially good for the cukes and tomatoes, and I took photos of each section of the garden and flower beds so I can see just how much they grow (or, grimace, wilt). Guess I’ll know soon enough.
