My poor lettuce! How can it be expected to grow when the temperatures have been struggling to reach the mid-30s during the day earlier this week, not to mention hitting the high 20s/low 30s at night?

Sure, it hit 61 today, but the forecast for the next three days is calling for high 20s to low/mid 30s at night and upper 30s to mid 40s during the day. I know lettuce is a cool-weather crop, but I think there’s only so much it can take.

Mother Nature, if you’re listening, can you please send Spring our way? I sure would be thankful. And so would my lettuce.
