2015_Day 84: Tomato plants, crape myrtle looking good

A couple days after being transplanted from pots to the garden, my tomato plants are looking great. All seven plants look strong, with multiple flowers on the Early Girls and Better Boy.

Outside the garden, I was thrilled to see so many buds and tiny leaves tonight on the crape myrtle. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in full bloom. It may be small – maybe about 3 feet tall, but I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty. I feel like the mother of a young child, so excited to see her baby blossom and grow!

Speaking of growing – or not – my lettuce containers are still hanging in there. The red lettuce looks a little taller, although not much. If in another week it’s still the same, I might think about putting some flowers in the containers.
