2015_Day 158: Breathing new life into old treasures

My mom makes the most of old household items. She turned both an old toilet bowl and the high chair that was used by me and most of my siblings into planters. Continue reading

2015_Day 155: I love Wisconsin

My home is in Texas now, but I still love Wisconsin. And everyone in it.

That’s all. Continue reading

2015_Day 154: Head in the clouds all day long

The good thing about flying is that when you’re traveling long distances, you get there relatively fast. The bad part is spending 9 hours in airports or on airplanes. And flying from Georgetown, Texas, to Milwaukee, Wis., through Tampa, Fla. Continue reading

2015_Day 149: Post-holiday week over, thankfully

I’m all for three-day holiday weekends. But why does the work week following Memorial Day seem so long? Continue reading

2015_Day 148: Bluebonnets on my table every day

I know this is a few days late, but I just had to share my finds from the day of shopping last week on my birthday. Since husband had work and daughter school, I decided to go to Burnet, about 40 miles west of Georgetown, on the edge of Hill Country. Continue reading

2015_Day 134: Sensational sunset

If storms and cooler weather are responsible for the beautiful sunset central Texas was graced with Wednesday night, I say “More please!” Continue reading

2015_Day 130: A day for moms

Like most Sunday mornings, I was the first to get out of bed, relishing my time in a quiet house, enjoying a little CBS Sunday Morning, and on this Mother’s Day Sunday, a beautiful bouquet of red roses. Continue reading

2015_Day 124: Flying high with the clouds

If you like photos of clouds, this post is for you. I flew from Austin to Chicago with a co-worker for work today, and offered to switch seats with her so she could have an aisle seat. Little did she know I love window seats because I love looking at clouds. Continue reading
